Our Ideals

Lighting the Path to Healthier Lives

Late Joydeb Hiralal Biswas

Late Joydeb Hiralal Biswas, the noble soul and father of our Founder cum Chairman, Dr. Prithviijit Biswas, holds a pivotal role in shaping the mission and vision of the Joy-Saraswati Sevadaar Foundation. A valiant commander in the Indian Army, he served during the 1971 Bangladesh-Pakistan War, supporting the government of Indira Gandhi in aiding Bangladesh’s fight for independence.

During his service in Bangladesh, he displayed exceptional courage and returned to India after four months of successful operations. However, his dedication came at a great personal cost. Upon his return, a time bomb was planted in the vehicle which resulted in the loss of his hand, severely impacting his health. Despite these challenges, he remained a pillar of strength and inspiration.

In 2001, he passed away, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service, resilience, and dedication to the nation. His values and sacrifices continue to inspire our foundation’s mission to serve the country, its people in need, and humanity and uplift the underprivileged.

Late Saraswati Joydeb Biswas

Late Saraswati Joydeb Biswas, the brave wife of  EX-Commander Late Joydeb Hiralal Biswas, is my strength and inspiration. As the life partner of an Army officer, she adapted seamlessly to the disciplined and demanding life of the military. Her strict yet compassionate nature shaped the lives of her children, guiding them toward success and bright futures. A pillar of strength, she stood by her husband and family through every struggle. Until 1980, she lived in the Army Barracks, offering unwavering support to her husband in his profession. Her resilience, dedication, and ability to balance compassion with discipline continue to inspire us, reminding us of her vital role in the family’s strength and unity during challenging times.

“Bhukh se bada Mazhab,
aur Roti se bada Ishwar koi hay to bata dena mujhe!!!”

Dr. Prithvijit Joydeb Biswas

Dr. Prithviijit Biswas, a member of the International Human Rights Protection Council, is the President of Joy-Saraswati Sevadaar Foundation. He is a compassionate leader dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities. Inspired by his parents,  EX-Commander Late Joydeb Hiralal Biswas and Late Saraswati Joydeb Biswas, he inherited values of discipline, dedication, and service. From a young age, he has experienced many struggles in his life. Being a child of Army Personnel, he had to travel to various locations due to his father’s transferable job, moving to different places frequently. Having stayed close to his father, he always dreamed, just like his father did, of serving society, nation, and supporting those in needy people, particularly the destitute and tribal communities.

Driven by the belief that every good work earns its own recognition, Dr. Biswas is passionate about achieving honor through impactful deeds. He founded Joy-Saraswati Sevadaar Foundation to serve needy, marginalized, and tribal communities in rural India, carrying forward the legacy of his parents.

To date, Dr. Biswas has received 29 awards for his selfless contributions and aspires to achieve further recognition from prestigious platforms, including the State and Central Government. Through financial aid, educational support, and healthcare initiatives, he is committed to creating a society where everyone has access to basic necessities and opportunities. His tireless efforts aim to establish the foundation as a beacon of hope, fostering a compassionate and equitable world for all.
